chocolate overnight oats

How to make overnight oats. Simple and delicious recipe!

  • Author: Elena Elliott
  • Total Time: overnight
  • Yield: 4 serves 1x
  • Diet: Gluten Free

Your morning is just about to become 100% healthier and better. Add these delicious chocolate overnight oats with chia seeds and cinnamon to your morning routine for a better start to the day!

1 cup gluten-free quick-cooking oats

1/2 tsp of cinnamon (double it if you LOVE cinnamon)

2 tsp of raw cacao

2 3/4 cups of almond milk (or any other milk of your choice)

2 tbsp of maple syrup

4 tbsp of freshly squeezed orange juice

4 tbsp of chia seeds

Combine all the ingredients in a big jar or a mixing bowl. Make sure the chia seeds are distributed evenly. Put the mix in an air-tight container or a mason jar and refrigerate overnight.

The quick-cooking oats will actually be ready to eat in two hours, no need to wait overnight if you are in a hurry.

Make sure to use gluten-free oats. Pure oats are gluten-free and safe for most people with gluten intolerance. However, oats are often contaminated with gluten because they may be processed in the same facilities as gluten-containing grains like wheat, rye, and barley.

My favourite chia seeds:
