The salmon teriyaki recipe is a great meal for a busy weeknight. The teriyaki marinated salmon is flaky and succulent and is equaly loved by kids and grown ups.
1/2cupsoy sauceI use Tamari, because it is gluten-free
1/4 cup water
2teaspoonsorganic raw sugaror substitute with raw honey
1tablespoonwhite vinegar
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
2garlic clovesminced
spring onions to serve (optional)finely sliced
Instructions
In a small suacepan combine all teriyaki marinade ingredients-soy sauce, water, sugar, vinegar, olive oil and minced garlic.
Bring the mixture to a boil and lower the heat down to minimum. Let the sauce simmer for a couple of minutes. Take the saucepan of the heat and set aside to cool a little.
Prepare a large baking dish or baking tray by lining it with some parchmnet paper.
Place salmon fillets in a large bowl and add the teriyaki marinade. Mix everything toegther, so that salmon is coated with the marinade. Let it marinate for 10 minutes
Place the salmon filets on the prepared baking tray and bake at 360'F (180'C) for:20 minutes, if using farmed salmon12-14 minutes if using wild salmon.Reserve the remaining marinade.
Optional step: Take the salmon out of the oven and brush the filets with the remaining marinade. Turn on the broiler and cook for additional 2-3 minutes to let the salmon brown at the top. Watch it closely, it might burn very quickly
