Furikake is a popular Japanese seasoning that is salty, sweet and nutty at the same time. It plays with your taste buds and is absolutely addictive. Try it over freshly cooked rice, avocado toast or hot congee, the choice is yours and you will absolutely love it.
Crumble nori sheets into very small pieces using your fingers or blend them in a small food processor. Transfer into a medium size bowl.
Toast sesame seeds for a couple of minutes over medium heat until the seeds are just golden. Transfer them into the bowl with the nori.
Add sugar, salt and sesame oil and mix to combine.

If the nori sheets aren't crispy enough to crumble them, put them into the oven at 400'F (200'C) for a couple of minutes to crispen them up.Furikake can be stored in an air-tight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
