Vegan Black Bean Recipe

I find that veggie sticks with hummus make for a perfect snack, however, there are times when you crave something new, and that’s where this vegan black bean dip recipe comes into play. With a taste reminiscent of hummus but boasting its unique flavor, this dip is a refreshing change. The best part, it’s ready in just 5 minutes with the help of a food processor. Let’s get started!

Why you should try this recipe

  • This black bean dip is a fantastic addition to your snack lineup, offering a good dose of plant-based protein. Pair it with some raw veggies for a delicious and quick snack option.
  • Vegan-friendly. This recipe is entirely plant-based, providing a wholesome source of protein for your diet.
  • Budget-friendly. Making dip from scratch is not only more economical, but it also allows you to regulate the ingredients, ensuring a healthier option.

Ingredients

  • 1 can of black beans: I prefer using the organic variety and always look for BPA-free cans.
  • Tahini: While tahini might seem a bit expensive, one jar goes a long way, and we only need a tablespoon for this recipe.
  • Lemon juice.
  • Your favorite spices: I used sweet paprika and ground cumin.
  • Fresh garlic clove: Alternatively, you can use garlic powder if you don’t have fresh garlic.
  • Sea salt for seasoning.
