Only 7 spices are needed to make this homemade spice blend. Here is what you will need:

  • Whole black peppercorns
  • Ground coriander
  • Smoked paprika
  • Garlic powder
  • Onion powder
  • Mustard powder
  • Brown sugar

🧑‍🍳 How To Make Pastrami Seasoning

Step 1: Heat a small frying pan over medium heat. Add peppercorns and cook them for a couple of minutes until the pepper is aromatic.

Step 2: Add the remaining spices, except brown sugar and cook for another minute stirring constantly. Transfer the spice mix to a bowl and let it cool down.
